Sarah Ortegon is the Office Manager for Smith, Shellenberger & Salazar, LLC. She is a recent graduate from Metropolitan State University of Denver with a Bachelor in Fine Arts.
While attending MSU Denver, Sarah studied art history abroad in Rome and Florence, Italy. Sarah is an enrolled Eastern Shoshone Tribal member, and also of Northern Arapaho decent. In August of 2013, Sarah was crowned Miss Native American USA. Her reign encompassed traveling, doing motivational speeches, and visiting schools on and off Native American Reservations.
Sarah also dances with Larry Yazzie and the Native Pride Dancers and has performed in the countries of Moldova, Guatemala, and throughout the US. While managing the office, Sarah is still very passionate about art. She has had multiple art exhibits throughout Colorado and Wyoming.
In her free time, Sarah enjoys going to the gym, being outdoors, running, doing art and dancing at Pow Wow’s. Community is also a priority of Sarah’s. She enjoys giving back and being a positive role model for young adults. Smith, Shellenberger & Salazar LLC prides itself with the ability to relate to different communities throughout the Midwest.
