Amber McClain practices mainly in the areas of Family Law and Criminal Defense/DUI, but she also enjoys General Civil Litigation, Employment & Entertainment Law. Although a Colorado native, Ms. McClain spent over twelve years in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Ms. McClain had an early start in litigation working for several large law firms as a litigation assistant/paralegal for nearly 18 years. Ms. McClain is an experienced trial attorney who is devoted to working towards the possible best resolution for her clients both in and out of the courtroom.
Ms. McClain received her JD from Golden Gate University in San Francisco where she received special recognition in Intellectual Property & Entertainment Law. This highly specialized area includes music law, branding trademarks, negotiating licensing deals and copyright registration and administration. Over the years, Ms. McClain has negotiated and drafted numerous contracts for musicians, producers and singer/songwriters. Although, this is not a large part of her current practice, she welcomes any clientele with questions about music law.
In light of the new marijuana laws in Colorado, Ms. McClain is also exploring re-entering the practice area of Cannabis law.
Community activism and civil rights have always been important to Ms. McClain. She continues to volunteer regularly in her community for various causes.
